About Vino Noire & Our Logo
Vino Noire (VN) is a wine education and lifestyle cyber destination that is dedicated to providing the cosmopolitan consumer with insights into fine wine, tourism, and culture. As the name suggests, our emphasis will be on wine. We will strive to provide our guests a better understanding of wine appreciation and selection. At Vino Noire, we believe the urbane consumer desires more knowledge and insight into wine vintages and we intend to make this information more accessible through our cyber tasting room and on-going social events.
We thank you for taking the time to visit VN. We invite you to become a member of our Cru Vin Society so that we can engage you in our discussions on wine, gourmet food, and wine tourism. This exchange will provide us the pleasure of engaging in stimulating conversation with you and provide us the opportunity to better define the interests of our society members.
About Our Logo
The Vino Noire logo is a stylistic interpretation of the Eye of Horus – the Egyptian or Kemetic all seeing eye. In Egyptian traditions, the Eye was a receptor comprised of 6 parts, which respond to the 6 senses of Touch, Taste, Hearing, Thought, Sight and Smell.
The Vino Noire team chose to use the Eye of Horus in our logo because we believe when one truly enjoys fine wine, it does indeed engage all the senses and the mind. We also wanted to pay homage to the ancient Egyptians, whom were the originators of fine culture, including blending wine.
